Little Rock is a vibrant metropolitan area with nationally recognized medical centers and excellent public services. Unlike other urban areas, it's easy to get around Little Rock by freeway and city byway. Centrally located in the nation, Little Rock is but a few hours drive from major cities.

Little Rock is a well spread out town, with several sections that you can enjoy. If you are in downtown Little Rock, you are close to what is perhaps the most popular spot in town. The historic, downtown River Market District has been part of a revitalization of the riverfront over the past decade. The River Market itself includes an outdoor farmer's market, with all types of fresh, local produce being offered on Tuesdays and Saturdays, late April through October, and an indoor market where shopkeepers offer everything from gourmet coffee to fresh sushi.

For the families and children in the bunch, there is a spectacular water park called Wild River Country off of Exit 148 on Crystal Hill Rd. towards Maumelle, AR. Wild River Country is Arkansas's largest water park. The park offers many fun and exciting rides like the Vortex, Accelerator, Barratuba and more. There are also relaxing rides like lazy river where you can float the day away or the Wave Pool which contains over a half-million gallons of wave fun!

During November of 2004, the people of Little Rock got the Clinton Presidential Library. The Clinton Presidential Center and Park -- America's 12th Presidential Library – has been opened. Located on the banks of the Arkansas River in the River Market District of downtown Little Rock, the $160-million-dollar structure contains 20,000 square feet of library and museum space, including an authentic replica of the Oval Office and the Cabinet Room.
