Petit Jean State Park is a wonderful vacation area for people of all ages. It was founded as the very first Arkansas state park in 1923. Here at Petit Jean, you can go hiking down some of the most magnificent trails in Arkansas. There is an assortment of activities to do while you visit, including boat rentals, picnic area, swimming pools, scenic overlooks, several playground areas for younger children. There is a very nice camping area for RV camping or tent camping for a wonderful weekend retreat with your family. While you camp, there are plenty of areas for bank fishing or if you prefer, you can rent a boat and go out fishing on Lake Bailey or Lake Roosevelt. One of the most popular spots for people taking a day trip is the Petit Jean Antique Car Museum which houses many cars from the past, including former President Clinton's Ford Mustang. |
