Born in Little Rock, AR (and 26 years later still near Little Rock), I picked up bass around age 13. I completely devoted myself to the instrument, wanting to tackle only the most difficult bass exercises I could find. It was in this search for challenge that I was introduced to Primus, then still later, bands like Tool, King Crimson and Dream Theater - all of which are still a huge influence on my style of playing.
